First is a head of programming at NLA leading the conception and delivery of the NLA programme across the business. First holds a BA in Architecture and MA in Urban Planning. Prior to NLA, First works in multidisciplinary practices including urban planning research unit, architecture, brand experience marketing and narrative design. Working on various scales of projects, from product launch, community-led housing redevelopment to museum design. First is also entrepreneur. She founded HER Coffee, an artisan cafe in Hackney that later had grown into a coffee product that stocked in Selfridges and whole food stores across London.
