Dara Huang
Dara Huang is the founder of Design Haus Liberty; an international architecture, interiors and design practice established in London in 2013 in London. She holds a master’s degree in Architecture from Harvard University and started her career at Herzog de Meuron, and Foster + Partners, London.
Alongside their luxury clients such as: The Four Seasons, LVMH, Cartier, Nihi Resorts and Starwood Capital, Dara is launching her first furniture and product line, Dara Maison in Fall of 2023 which is a modern luxury furniture and homeware brand which prides itself on being made to last, bringing together luxury statement pieces, that are as practical as they are eye-catching.
Dara has received numerous awards and honours including Property Weeks 40 under 40, BBC China's 100 Women, Prestige Hong Kong’s 40 under 40 and three RIBA competition recognitions and sits on the board for Prop Tech, is a member of the Milken Institute and Red Club Cartier. She is currently a brand ambassador to: Harrods, Cartier, Lego, Corian, Gaggenau, and Skyframe. Dara has exhibited at Somerset House, London and the Architecture Venice Biennale.
A dynamic speaker and TV presenter, Dara recently starred as the main judge for a primetime Channel 4 design show- The Big Interiors Battle and she appeared in Britain's Most Expensive Houses in 2022. Dara is regularly invited to participate as a public speaker, in design and at global events most recently: Dezeen, HP, Panasonic, Architonic/ArchDaily/Design Boom, London Design Week and Theory.
The daughter of a NASA scientist who emigrated from Taiwan to the United States, Dara grew up in multi-cultural surroundings and global travel. She has a keen interest in contemporary art and nature, which inspires much of her designs.
