Catrina is a registered architect and director at Office S&M, the practice she co-founded with Hugh McEwen. Known for its inventive design approach, the studio focuses on collaboration, participation, and bold use of materials and colour to create characterful spaces. Working with a 50/50 split of public and private projects including new-build housing, workspace retrofits and education projects, Office S&M was awarded Building Design’s Young Architect of the Year in 2020 and recognised as one of the Architects’ Journal’s 40 under 40 practices.
