From 20-22 September, Clerkenwell Design Trail took over EC1 as CDW and London Design Festival collaborated for the first time! The three day celebration was jam-packed with engaging events which were within a short walking distance of each other, enabling visitors to navigate the area with ease.

Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it one of the most important design hubs in the world. From high-end furniture to lighting, kitchen and bathroom brands to material manufacturers, the area is always brimming with an array of world-class showrooms.

Visitors enjoyed browsing the participating showrooms, some of which included Arper with their sustainable and versatile collection of chairs and stools 'Mixu', designed in collaboration with Gensler. Bolon London displayed their latest collection in collaboration with influential architect and designer, Patricia Urquiola and British brand Deadgood launched their latest product ‘Sprung’, a versatile lounge chair with sustainability at the forefront of the design process.

There were also a range of workshops to explore, from IVC Commercial's interactive Studio Moods vinyl floor competition, to Kohler's "Dimensions of Wellbeing" workshop in collaboration with Clerkenwell's Artisan florist Botanique.

The three day event also included showroom tours, talks and parties in and around Clerkenwell's historic cobbles. Be sure to join us next year, 19th - 21st September.
