The Furrows The Furrows The Furrows

This snaking continental limestone staircase was installed in a self built house in Yorkshire. The stone steps are designed to follow the shape of the building, and bridge the space between the thick curved wall and the open area in the rooms centre. A thin wire balustrade gives the illusion of holding up the unsupported edges of the staircase treads.
