The SinStella glass series was originally created from the idea of reducing glass breakage in fine glassware. The result is a unique glass concept: a faceted, small and heavy sculpture made of flawless optical glass with a precise hole, in which different glass inputs can be placed into. These inputs - flute, enterprise and shot- can be filled with good things to eat or drink. SinStella therefore offers the greatest possible creative variety of uses for glass. This invention was honoured in 2021 with the NY Product Design Award in gold. A tray with matching holes is also is also available. The technical challenge of achieving a precise fit between a hole drilled in the sculptural K9 base (like a sculptor carves his figure out of marble and then polishes it by hand) and the lower part of the mouth-blown input (which also had to be balanced in terms of weight - and that with different thicknesses of the hollow body and the heavy tenon) was almost impossible to solve.
