The LOB
LOB is a spider-shaped artistic chandelier designed by Leo De Carlo. Between fantastic suggestions and fascinating design applications, Lob is an enigmatic creature, creepy but full of charm.
A spider that descends from the ceiling, its multiple legs invading the space and illuminating it. Slender limbs move through the air, waiting for its next prey. Transparencies and opacities mingle in disturbing organic forms.
The aesthetics of nature become a tool to re-interpret the Venetian chandelier.
Note: the archaic English word LOBBE stands for ‘spider’; in English lob means ‘hanging’.
