Language Loom
The Language Loom interweaves dual-toned fabrics on an iron foundation, creating a tactile exploration of communication beyond conventional boundaries. Inspired by "Ella Minnow Pea," this interactive artwork features thirty words veiled in textile and revealed through hand painting, inviting viewers to construct their own narratives by rearranging elements in various spaces and configurations.
The piece transforms with its environment—whether displayed in galleries, homes, or public spaces—offering different perspectives and interpretations with each installation. As viewers engage with the fabric-covered words, they become active participants in creating meaning, demonstrating how limited linguistic elements can still convey profound human connections.
