Since the 1960s and 1970s, colour has played a fundamental role for Ideal Standard, following the evolution of the bathroom from a simple functional space to a design environment.  Under the artistic direction of Palomba Serafini Associati, colours are now revamped, with the introduction of a new and elegant palette for the Ipalyss washbasins. The range features ten new colours, including Glossy Black, Slate, Kashmir, Sage, Pomegranate, along with Glossy White and Silk White, to offer a complete, inspiring palette, capable of conveying emotion in interior design. Some colours recall those used in the historical projects of Ideal Standard, with an elegant and contemporary touch; others are completely new, offering a perfect match with trendy contemporary materials, such as marble and stone.

Ipalyss is a range of washbasins characterized by a super slim design and extreme durability, both made possible by Ideal Standard’s Diamatec® technology.   The revolutionary Diamatec® was developed using a unique blend of alumina and chamotte, the result is a new material that creates extraordinary looking ceramics, allowing designers to achieve the near impossible: very fine, thin, straight edges that is nonetheless extremely strong, and suitable for a wide range of demanding environments.
