Shelf brackets can seem like an insignificant detail when you’re planning a new kitchen or re-doing any room in the house, but it’s so easy to create a really beautiful and simple feature if you manage to find a good set. If you’re lucky, you might be able to pick up some great old fixtures at an antiques market, but even then you’re bound to wind up with a set of two or three brackets when you could really do with four!

A lot of our customers are now turning to shelving and hanging rails over wall cupboards. It’s important to use whatever wall space you have, but when that space is at a premium it can make all the difference to choose something that is visually much lighter than a cupboard – it can really help a room to breathe. Shelving is so practical and yet also an exciting opportunity, a canvas for you to show off all your favourite glasses, plates, bowls, cookery books, potted plants, paintings and other fascinating bits of bric-a-brac.

Our utilitarian brass brackets are an old industrial design that we have recreated in the metal studio at Cotes Mill. They’re available in two living finishes, crafted by hand by our excellent team of makers. These shapely brackets are just right for holding up marble or wooden shelves in a strong and simple way. Another product that is difficult to source, these brackets have become such a great addition to our range of home accessories.
