With Catifa (RE) 46, Arper revisits a classic through the lens of sustainability. The new shell is made entirely from 100% recycled plastic, combining post-consumer and post-industrial materials. Its textured exterior adds a tactile quality to its visual appeal, offering a fresh sensory dimension to a familiar form.

The updated color palette draws inspiration from sustainable architecture, with eight new earthy and understated shades: ivory, anthracite, moorland green, midnight blue, rust, espresso, moon white, and black. These tones evoke the raw, authentic feel of natural materials, reinforcing the collection’s connection to environmentally conscious design.

Functionality meets comfort with the introduction of a new BREATHAIR® cushion, available also for outdoor use. This innovative material—an elastic, breathable, water-resistant, and fully recyclable polyester—has been specially shaped for Catifa (RE) 46, providing ergonomic support while preserving the chair’s sleek profile.

The shell can be paired with three base options to suit various environments: four-legged wooden base (indoor and outdoor compatible), sled base (outdoor compatible).

Optional armrests are available with the steel and sled versions for enhanced comfort. The collection also includes a stool version in two heights, both configurable with a sled base, further expanding its adaptability across spaces.
