•Guy Skerman comes from a long lineage of
London coppersmiths and metal workers.
Growing up with one foot on a factory floor,
metal engineering and design was in his blood. In
2001 he developed a unique leather print process
which led him to work with many fashion
brands. Designing products for Paul Smith,
Chanel, Hermes, and Dunhill amongst others. He
then went beyond fashion, working with brands
including Diageo, Aston Martin and Damien
Hirst. In 2022 Guy Skerman Designs was
established. From his design studio and
workshop on an island in the Thames he began to
develop the furniture he had designed over the
previous decade. With a small team of engineers
and with a focus on UK production using
sustainable and ethical materials the first
prototypes came to life.
